Imitation

Through the exploration of oil rigs, Imitation is meant to personify the identity of oil rigs in the ocean through their technical functionality and appearance. Through this digital exploration, my partner and I (Ulysses Hernandez) explored the possibilities of how realistic this organic form can imitate. Imitation is the grotesque-like form of what oil rigs can be associated with. Most would find these oil rigs as a hindrance to the beauty of our oceans; However these oil rigs are an essential part of our economy, thus why not explore different forms that can make these machinery become an awe-worthy piece of art.
